Shears
Shears on the press come in very handy, when dealing with sheet metal rolls. They can be used at beginning of the press, in the press and at the end of the press.
Litostroj Ravne offers shears with force from 100 to 1200 kN. Shears can be hydraulic or mechanical, working synchronized with the press cycle or undependable from the press.
Shears can be part of inlet feeding device allowing quick cutting of the sheet material roll before mounting it into the progressive die (tool), or when retracting die (tool) from the press after production. Usage of non-hand tool is faster and safer for your employees. So called pendulum or swiveling shears are used for production of blanks needed for transfer presses or tandem line production process. In this case shears are mounted in the press as a tool and do not produce their own force to cut the sheet metal. Most commonly used are self standing shears used for cutting of scrap material that comes out of progressive die installed in the press into smaller pieces. In this case shears are used to minimize the needed waste material container volume.
